Wayne Deckard opened the meeting at approximately 3 p.m.

Michael Mossman read an abbreviated version of the minutes from the July 24, 2004 meeting

Larry Poe read the Treasurer's Report: Took in $2,789 in rent and initiation fees. John Kockmer has not paid rent or initiation fees. Last month the association paid $327 toward insurance, $1,500 for rent. BCAA has $2,552 in the checking account. Phone bill received is $140 (includes connection fees); we have not received the first electric bill yet.

John Mullenax asked if hangars have power; Wayne says all have 220 VAC but several buildings need fuse boxes.

Jack Snyder reported that Floyd Fairfield is interested in filing a class action lawsuit; anyone interested in participating should contact Snyder or Fairfield if they suspect that the mechanic "pencil-whipped" an AD compliance during an annual inspection. John McDonald will forward information to FAA.

Byron Calvert is interested in reporting his missing radios and engine to the Boone County Sheriff's Department.

Wayne Deckard says that Sam's Club has double-lamp motion detector lights for $9.94. Four buildings do not yet have power. Wayne says that if the lights are equipped with small watt bulbs the lights will help when moving planes at night.

The airport must have a light on the windsock to comply with runway nighttime certification. The existing light does not work.

Volunteers are needed to run a cable for the outdoor phone box. Volunteers can sign up on the bulletin board in the operations building.

Michael Mossman asked Larry Poe if there were sufficient funds in the treasury to buy the motion lights that Wayne Deckard recommended. Larry reported that there was enough to buy the lights plus cover current bills.

Michael Mossman motioned to buy the motion detector lights; Jack Snyder seconded; all in favor.

Tractors need oil change and have water in transmissions. Tractors need hydraulic fluid, oil and filters. Roy Dawes will contact owners to see if they want to pay for repairs.

Volunteers are needed for mowing. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

All rents due to Boone County Airport Association (BCAA) by the 25th of the month, payable at the airport operations building. if no one is in the building then tenants are asked to slide their rent check under the door to the office.

Wayne Deckard: Talk of the Sailplane Club wanting to move to Lebanon is only a rumor; they have no intentions of coming here. The grass runway is too short and the concrete runway is too narrow.

If another club wants to base at the airport do all of their members need to pay dues? How do we address this in the future? Steve McClure recommended that we have this provision in our bylaws.

Bill Wilson is bringing his Bakeng Deuce back to the airport. Also, Shorty Grave's old white Apache is coming back. Is not currently airworthy, will be flown on a ferry permit.

Larry Poe reminded members to pull the chain across the gate and turn off the lights in the office if they are the last one off the property in the evenings.

The combination to operations building door lock is 1228

Wayne Deckard motioned to close the meeting; Jack Snyder seconded; all voted in favor.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
