Wayne Deckard: This is a special meeting to offer constructive or corrective criticism on the "Affordable Flying" open house and discuss the problems. We aren't trying to solve the problems today, only want to get them recorded

Jack Snyder: With only one person trying to park airplanes and cars, I was spread too thin.

Wayne Deckard: We also need wing walkers; the trikes had difficultly getting to the parking area.

Jack Snyder: Better ground handling of the Young Eagles aircraft. Pilots should stay with the planes; would help with speedier loading and unloading.

Wayne Deckard: We had no signed releases of adult riders. We were lucky that there were no incidents.

Wayne Deckard: We need to start cooking food sooner and rope off the door until ready.

Gene Hollingsworth: Fewer tables and chairs?

Wayne Deckard: The room was completely full for a while.

Pam Leucht: We (food preparers and servers) need to be told when to start.

Chuck Leucht: People wanted to buy t-shirts.

Wayne Deckard: We will need to have a different color t-shirt fo retail.

Wayne Deckard: We need more signage and designated points for rides, etc.

Roy Dawes: Maurice Hobson wants only Kingsford charcoal

Michael Mossman: Much more bottled water needed

Wayne Deckard: And one six-pack of beer for Michael

Chuck Leucht: Erick did a great job handling crowd

Wayne Deckard: For crowd control tape will not stay up with prop blast, we need to use cones for marking areas

Michael Mossman: Better parental control over children is needed

Wayne Deckard: Next year operations building to be used by members only.

Michael Mossman: Only about half of the people signed the guest register.

Roy Dawes: A raffle at the end would help get better head count.

Pam Leucht: Better crowd control needed

Comments from crowd: A better show because it was so open, airplanes were accessable

Jack Snyder: Michael Mossman wants photos on web; do we want to post names and identification on web site or just mark hangars as occupied?

Consensus: Web site will list hangars as Occupied or Vacant; no more aircraft identifications will be listed

Wayne Deckard; We must keep a ledger of aircraft based on the field.

Michael Mossman: I need to know who has moved into or out of hangars so that we can keep our list of contacts current. Gene Hollingsworth: One person needed to tend to gas pumps.

Wayne Deckard: $428 total spent on fuel for the day.

Wayne Deckard: Fuel is now $2.70 per gallon

Wayne Deckard: More vendors needed, including ultralights and kits.

Wayne Deckard: Mayor, Andy Henderson and Gene Henderson were complementary

Larry Poe: All though that airport was clean, impressed with organization

Wayne Deckard: Trike people were impressed with grass

Michael Mossman: We need to find a way to mention that the grass taxiway is available for take-offs and landings without calling it a runway.

Wayne Deckard: Parking ...

Wayne Deckard: Maurice wants men only to work on the hog. He is worried that someone (a woman) will get hurt, either by lifting or getting burned, etc.

Wayne Deckard: Michael Mossman wants to have an airport event for the Methodist Childrens Home; will help us get rid of the ice cream.

Gene Hollingsworth: Styrofoam cups for ice cream will be cheaper than cones.

Wayne Deckard: Elections to be help at the next meeting, Saturday June 16, 2005, 3 p.m. We must nominate candidates:

Current slate:
President: Wayne Deckard
Vice President: Roy Dawes
Secretary: Michael Mossman
Treasurer: Jack Snyder, Chad Williams
Director: Gene Hollingsworth, John Komnick, Jack Snyder

Larry Poe: Issue with members who leave, what priviledges do they still have?

Wayne Deckard: 12 months grace period, then you are out. Opinions are needed

Wayne Deckard: Hard and fast rules must be made for hangars and transients.

Michael Mossman will send letter to members asking for input.

Wayne Deckard does not think that renting hangars to transients puts us on outside of insurance policy.

Roy Dawes had to pay COD chagres to get fuel delivered, is waiting on reimbursement from Brentco.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
