Before the meeting started pizzas were served.

Wayne Deckard brought the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.

Wayne Deckard: Our Affordable Flying Open House is next month.

Treasurer's Report (submitted by Chad Williams, treasurer, not present): $8,600 in account, $2,500 owed for fuel. We will have property rent due in June but have not yet collected or deposited the coming month's hangar rents.

Wayne Deckard: We have the money for the tower but will not build the porch yet. We do not need a building permit, as it will not be a permanent structure.

Wayne Deckard: We have ice cream for sale in the freezer, which has been moved to the Operations Building. We have adjusted the temperature, so our ice cream won't get too hard. We will have ice cream for the open house.

We need volunteers to take care of people who are loading and unloading. Erick Roldan volunteered to lead the group.

We will be providing fuel for pilots who are flying the program. They should fill up in the morning before the flights begin, then we will replenish their tank when finished.

We will need a pre-meeting for the flight pattern and the pattern should have ground recognition.

We will put plywood over the door between the rooms in the Operations Building. Flight signups will be in the south room only.

Grounds prep is way ahead of last year, but the grounds are wet. We will run a hose through the hangar with the Navion; when you wash your airplane, do it between Building 2 and Building 3 so that the ground doesn't stay wet where the people will be before or during lunch.

Clean up your hangars.

We will need more volunteers to clean up the maintenance hangar and operations building.

We will need five men to help Maurice pull the pig from the fire. Maurice will not allow women to help with that or cutting it up. If you are scheduled to do something else at that time you need to plan in advance if you must break away to help with the hog. It will need to come off at 11 so we can have some food ready around 11:30

Maurice has already ordered a hog; it will be bigger than last year.

Mike Jackson: will be bringing a PA for announcements.

Wayne Deckard: We should plan on two tables to speed up food service.

TV channels 6 and 8 have community calendars. Get on the calendar but don't advertise the free food and rides.

We will need one volunteer to sell stuff to generate income. Mike Jackson and Lisa Neeley volunteered to head up that.

Wayne Deckard: Michael Mossman to contact Wally Sheridan at Pepsi for drink donations.

Gerard Schlundt: Knows people who retail RANS, will ask that they contact Wayne or Michael to bring products to the event.

Wayne Deckard: We will need to find a group to organize parking; we will provide a donation to the group (softball, soccer, etc.) Michael Mossman will start asking.

Michael Mossman to send a flyer to high school guidance counselors to come out if interested in aviation.

Wayne Deckard: We will need to go to Bobcat to see how much to rent a Bobcat with a sweeper. Michael Mossman will stop in after work on way home.

On Monday a company from Kentucky will be stopping in to bid on sealing the runway.

Chuck Leucht: CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) will be here to help and will have a trailer.

Wayne Deckard: Michael to get ahold of Ralph Wortman at Boys & Girls Club.

Michael Mossman: Will have more flyers by Wednesday.

Wayne Deckard: No tent for event. We don't need to spend the money. We don't care if people are in the sun or not. We do have tables in the Maintenance Hangar if they need to be out of the sun. And if it rains they won't show up, anyway.

We rented tables and chairs last year for $100. Do we want to do the same? We can't scrounge up enough loaners. (consensus was yes, rent them).

If it rains on Saturday then Sunday will be the rain day. If it rains both days then we are washed out for the year; cannot reschedule for the following weekend.

Club elections will be held during the July meeting. "Be here or get elected."

Mike Jackson will have a box for donations for sale in the store room.

Wayne Deckard: Reminder: clean up your stuff or Pam Leucht will throw it out!

Gerard Schlundt: Will try to get some sunscreen samples.

Pam Leucht: Try to get on the Boone County website calendar.

Wayne Deckard motioned to adjourn; John Snyder seconded. All voted to adjourn.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
