Wayne Deckard: Our fly-in is schedule for Saturday, June 23. The committee met and made decisions based on opinions on how to handlie it this year. We will be asking for donations for flights, donations for food. We are going to state that we need help for repairing the runway.

Asking a minimum donation of $10 per person for flight, $5 for food. We've got to spend some money on the runway.

Volunteers are needed for crowd control and logistics. We need one person to handle it. Michael Mossman to coordinate those functions. Mike Jackson to assist. Erick Roldan will coordinate the tarmac volunteers.

Michael Mossman will tentatively coordinate food. Maurice Hobson has already been enlisted to roast a hog.

Wayne Deckard: T-shirts will be for volunteers only. We spent more than $800 on t-shirts last year. If a member wants to buy one with their n-number we can get them.

Promotions: Wayne Deckard will get tri-color show bills this year.

Wayne Deckard: Put on the internet site a pre-flight sign-up. List in the office on Father's Day Weekend.

Young Eagles will start at 9; briefing at 8:30. Mandatory requirement: no briefing, no flying.

For the family rides, we will post it being open to 5 p.m., but we can continue to fly until 6.

We will need a drink booth separate from the food line. All drinks for sale should be in cans; no glass or plastic bottles (except water). These will be for sale. We will have a cotton candy machine and a sno-cone machine.

Wayne Deckard: Fuel is $3.75 a gallon, may reach over $4.00 everywhere else in the state in a month or two.

Wayne Deckard: We have a new load of gravel. Help yourself to fill in around your airplane in your hangar. Ask around, their will be some volunteers to help you.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Wayne Deckard: Chuck Leucht turns in the water reports all year around. We continue to get good reports every time.

Roy Dawes charged the air conditioner and it is now working.

Treasurer's Report (Chad Williams written report): Account balance is $5,461.79. We just wrote a check to Brentco for $4,815.75 for fuel. The club used just under half of the total fuel from the last load.

NEW BUSINESS:

Wayne Deckard and Roy Dawes made contact with a guy in Gary IN who can help with a plan to get federal funds to buy the airport. This airport is one of just a very few slated for federal fund improvement but is stalled because of private ownership. Wayne and Roy will be meeting with him in a week or two.

Erick Roldan has been researching federal money, found information on a farmer in Iowa who has developed his property as a solar energy farm. Roldan thinks that the surplus property surrounding the airport could be a revenue source to support the acquisition and maintenance of the airport.

Wayne Deckard moved to conclude the meeting; Roy Dawes seconded. All in favor. Meeting adjourned.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
