Wayne Deckard: We have cracks in the runway that we need to be filled. We need someone to remove the rocks and gravel from the runway tonight. They are getting larger and more abundant and are likely to get thrown up into a propeller.

Wayne Deckard: Last month we talked about changing the Christmas Party to January. Since Roy is not here we do not have a report on potential locations.

Wayne Deckard: We have no further information on converting the airport to a municipal property.

Chad Williams: We have not heard anything on the ground water contamination monitoring system.

Jim Kouns: IDEM was to contact Gene Henderson.

Wayne Deckard: I will call the Hendersons on Monday.

Chad Williams: We can get an above ground tank for about $5,000.

Jim Kouns: There is an independent outfit that can work from sticking the tanks, send send in a report for about $30 monthly. This may be a cheaper way to go in the interim.

Wayne Deckard: Check you hangars, look for loose roofing so they don't blow off. We'll get a work detail to fix them. Michael Mossman will make a sign-up sheet for required repairs.

Chad Williams: Financial Report: We had $6,200 in receivables when we sent the notices out, so obviously if you got one you weren't the only one. About 50% of this was paid back this week. We owed Brentco $8,600 for fuel. If we can get these caught rents and fuel bills we will be in the best financial position we've ever been in.

Chad Williams: We are going to need a new plan for lawn care next year. It's getting too much for Charles Westerfield to do. We would like to put it out for bid. I would like to get a piece of commercial lawn equipment. Roy Dawes has a 12-h.p. diesel Grasshopper; it will need about $1200 worth of work. Tom Rich also has a 72-inch Gator with a 12-h.p. engine for towing; will work up a price for us. He will also look into donating to the club.

Wayne Deckard: As a not-for profit we have to write a check for maintenance.

Jim Kouns: If we have volunteers work, then just a small fraction are pulling the load. But if we pay for the mowing then all members share in the cost.

Wayne Deckard: In the lease the property owners must provide lawn equipment. We don't have to renegotiate the contract until next year.

Wayne Deckard: The person volunteering on club equipment must be checked out in how to operate it.

Erick Roldan: We have only one restroom here. I was in the other morning and it was disgusting. Some one was sick and didn't clean it up.

Wayne Deckard: It could have been a sick passenger of a transient aircraft. We will need to post that users must clean up after themselves.

Chad Williams: I called the trash company to get them to move the dumpster but they didn't.

Gene Hollingsworth: We need to seal the runway cracks or it will get a lot worse. Snyder has a heater for tar; we will need to get a kettle.

Wayne Deckard: We will have to close the runway down for the repairs so we should do it overnight.

Wayne Deckard: I will pick up the materials this week. We will post that we are looking for volunteers starting this Saturday and Sunday at noon and will continue each weekend until we are finished, weather permitting. Volunteers will not need to bring any tools.

At this point the meeting was adjourned.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
