3:25 p.m.: Meeting called to order

Wayne Deckard: The fuel monitoring system is installed and working. We will need a different probe for the south tank; it has been ordered.

Chad Williams: Motion that Jim Kouns be official IDEM record keeper, keep track of certifications, permits, etc. John Komnick seconded. All voted in favor.

Chad Williams: Currently have $7,730.93 in checking (actual balance is $4,630.93); we just paid $2,762 towards the fuel bill. We had a $3,500 bill on the tank inspection that Wayne negotiated down to $3,100, which leaves us $1,530.93. We have a bill of $1,300 to fil the propane tanks. We will need to get the maintenance hangar rents and propane heating fuel bills caught up. We will notify members that if anyone is able to prepay hangar rent over the next few months it will help us pay for the fuel monitoring system. The total system cost will be close to $8,000, including equipment, installation and inspections.

Wayne Deckard: Michael to send Brento a letter notifying them that we have their hangar available for one year at $75 per month plus the $100 administration fee.

Wayne Deckard: Christmas party ideas

Jim Kouns: Stookey's Restaurant in Thorntown has room to accomodate us with no room charge. The room holds 80 people. We can have as much as we want but they will put their spill-over crowd in the same room if necessary. We will need the give Stookey's a head count about a week before the party. They also asked that we try to stick with a limited menu of about 4-5 items.

Wayne Deckard: Roy Dawes checked out the dairy for a party location; their large meeting rooms are too expensive.

Chad Williams: At a recent Board of Directors meeting we recommended that the party be funded by members paying their own dinner charges due to the expenses of the fuel system.

Wayne Deckard: The party will be the third Saturday of January (January 17, 2009). While we are on the subject of parties, we also discussed alternate ways to fund our party (open house) this coming June. We talked about hosting an aircraft swap meet to generate funds.

Chad Williams motioned to hold the Christmas Party at Stookey's Restaurant on January 17, 2009; Michael Mossman seconded. All voted in favor.

Michael Mossman: Will send another email notice later this week about the party then send a letter invitation after the first of the year to all members and ask for RSVPs.

Wayne Deckard: We will need to revise our rules for moving airplanes to different hangars. How do our rules affect current members and the ability to draw new members? The problem is that when we move small aircraft forward to the larger hangars that limits our ability to accomodate new members with larger aircraft that won't fit in the smaller spaces.

Steve McClure: The Board of Directors could come up with options to present to the general membership.

Jim Kouns: A couple of people need to get into the maintenance hangar.

Chad Williams: Will contact Adam Coker about other business and making the hangar available.

Michael Mossman motioned to adjourn; John Komnick seconded. All in favor. Meeting adjourned.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
