Wayne Deckard brought the meeting to order at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Wayne Deckard: Both of our windsocks our now lit. Steve McClure dug a trench and ran power to the windsock at the north end of the runway. That windsock marks the north end of the grass taxiway. Jim Kouns and John Komnick put up the new windsock on the maintenance hangar.

Michael Mossman announced the election results: Wayne Deckard, president; Roy Dawes, vice president; Michael Mossman, secretary; Chad Williams, treasurer; Kristen Henke, Gene Hollingsworth and Chuck Leucht, directors. We had one contested office and several people ran for directors, with some close votes. 21 out of 36 members voted, for a participation rate of 58%.

Roy Dawes: I will be driving the bus to Oshkosh this year; the days we leave and return are undecided. It may depend on who is going and when they want to go. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

Roy Dawes: What do we want to do with the dump truck? It needs a new clutch and plow wear bar; both will need to be addressed before we try to use it next winter. It might also have some brake issues.

Wayne Deckard: The clutch and wear bars are expenses that we would submit to the landlord.

Wayne Deckard and Steve McClure: A truck with a flashing light ran down the runway the other night. It may have been the INDOT inspector checking out the runway lights. He didn't stop or say anything and we haven't had a report yet.

John Saalwaechter: I bought a new dual yoke for the V-tail Bonanza so now I can turn the controls over to the right seat passenger. I am always looking for someone to fly. If you need to get a little complex time, my airplane is available.

Wayne Deckard: We should plan a fly-out to Put-In-Bay sometime. Steve McClure was just there and had a great time. They don't have cars on the island but you can rent a golf cart.

John Saalwaechter: The golf carts are $55 per day

Roy Dawes: I brought in some metal and plastic storage bins. They are free, just take them.

Michael Mossman: We should talk about runway repair.

Wayne Deckard: Jimmy Laser has an excavator that we can use. We will need to bring in some concrete.

Steve McClure: The board should discuss this potential expenditure.

Wayne Deckard: We should plan for repairs in late October. If we don't saw out some concrete we should at least use some tar on the cracks. If we attacked any part of the concrete we should plan on at least $1,000 for materials. The grass is in great shape.

Wayne Deckard led a discussion about extending the grass runway a few hundred feet north into the untilled field. The club would need to do some drainage tile repairs and improvements first, and should expect the expenses to be about $500. The group also discussed draining the areas around the hangars. That will require trenching from the hangars to the ditch.

Steve McClure motioned to adjourn; Wayne Deckard seconded. All voted in favor of adjournment.

Treasurer's Report (via email): Checking account balance is $4,429.71.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
