Wayne Deckard brought the meeting to order at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Wayne Deckard: We have new fuel hoses on the pumps, the north pump is now pumping faster.

Wayne Deckard: Yesterday we had a team cut down the trees at the north end of the runway. The runway crack sealing is holding up good. The alleyways are clear of snow but you may need to clear out in front of your hangar to get your airplane out.

Wayne Deckard: With the weather getting warmer, check your fuel sumps.

Wayne Deckard: At the January meeting we mentioned that we are in better financial shape this year and we should have the funds available to take care of some business.

Chad Williams: We just had the propane tank filled. We are paid up for the year for trash hauling; our insurance is due in April. Treasurer's report: We have $5,489.16 in the account. We are close to getting our official tax exempt status corrected. Tom Rich's controller and accountant are working to help get this done. They will be converting our financial records to QuickBooks.

Wayne Deckard: At the last meeting we announced that the security lights were fixed by John Komnick. It is starting to stay light later in the evening, so if you are here after dark, check out if any lights need to be fixed or replaced.

New Business: Our open house would be the third saturday in June, which is June 19. We will only have three regular monthly meetings until then so we need to make a decision soon on what we want to do. We will need volunteers.

Chad Williams motioned that members get ideas together, then make a decision at the next (March 2010) meeting. Gene Hollingsworth seconded the motion. All voted to hold a decision-making vote at the March meeting; none voted against the motion.

Wayne Deckard: Spring is coming around. We need more people to help clean up the property than just the four or five who are always around here.

New Business: There will be a hangar vacancy after next week. Mike Jackson sold his RANS so we will be looking for a new tenant. Jay Schaumberg will petition to board to move his Mooney, as his airplane is currently in a "taildragger" hanger and needs more clearance room.

Steve McClure: We need to discuss the late rents policy. When does it take effect?

Wayne Deckard: It takes effect at the date of the letter.

General Discussion: Letter's intent and enforcement of late rents. Jay Schaumberg commented that he was previously based at Indy Exec Airport. The management there would quickly file a lien if a tenant fell behind in rent. Steve McClure agreed with that type of action. Tom Rich asked if the club should consider a lease for member/tenants. Gene Hollinsgworth stated that we never had one before. Steve McClure mentioned that a year ago we had no money in the bank and several members who were seriously in arrears; he asked for consistent enforcement of the rules.

New Business: There will be an FAA Safety Seminar at Columbus IN Airport on Saturday, March 6; the VFR part runs from 9 to noon and the IFR part runs from 1-4 in the afternoon. Michael Mossman will post a notice in the Operations Building and will send an email notice to members. Kristen Henke suggested that the members carpool to the seminar or fly as a group.

John Komnick update: Chad Williams said that John Komnick was in town for the weekend to attend a CFI refresher course in Kentucky. He has moved to Illinois and his house is on the market. He still has some students here but we don't know if he will be able to come back to take on more students.

General Discussion: Does the club allow an instructor to come to the field? Kristen Henke said that is someone is based on the field they can bring in any instructor they want to instruct in the member's plane. But if an instructor wants to base here he needs to keep a plane here.

New Business: Tom Rich said that spring thaw out, we need concrete work done on the ramp. He can bring equipment to do the work. Wayne Deckard: Our first concern is a bad section on the runway. We have some concrete that is broken out from the trash truck driving through. Some of the sections we need to work on will take just a few yards of concrete, which isn't even the minimum for a load. John Snyder said that many businesses have locks on their dumpsters and leave a key for the trash company. Chad Williams said that if the dumpster were moved to beside the propane tank behind the operations building the trash truck could unload it without driving onto the concrete.

Steve McClure motioned to adjourn; Gene Hollingsworth seconded. All voted in favor of adjournment.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
