High-Speed Internet Access: Earl Brosman and Steve McClure have been experimenting with a system for internet access across the airport. Internet provider Ilines has installed a small dish on the operations building. Current cost is $100 for installation and $50 monthly. Price will be reduced to $40 per month when Ilines updates their equipment. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. Billing will be to Steve McClure, otherwise, the club would pay a commercial rate, which is $100 per month. Earl bought a router for $20, which provides wireless internet within the operations building and part of the way down the hangar row. He intends to add a device to extend the coverage to the last hangar row.

Telephone: Wayne Deckard reports that the FAA requires all public access airports to have a telephone available 24/7. The club's currrent phone cost is $63 per month. With a $100 MagicJack device, the club will be able to provide Voice over IP phone access. Cost would be $30 per year (first year included with device). MagicJack will also send a WAV file via internet to an email account instead of leaving a message on an answering machine.

Additional Features: The internet system can support video cameras for remote monitoring of airplanes, etc., via internet. It can also trigger relays for starting engine heaters.

A motion was made to accept the new system and pay the expenses for getting it operational. All voted in favor; none opposed.

Wayne Deckard appointed Earl Brosman administrator of the internet system. All members wishing to get a password to access the system or set up a node for remote monitoring or control will need to contact Earl.

New Furniture: John Saalwaechter donated the money to buy some łnew˛ used furniture for the operations building; Earl Brosman bought on it internet. John would also like to install two restrooms at his cost and will need volunteers to do it. Additionally, he would like to have new carpet installed in the building and have a wall removed to expand the size of the main room.

Runway Inspection: The FAA inspection due; the club may need to do work on runway, etc. Steve McClure reported that three lights need to be fixed. Wayne Deckard recommended that the cracks in the runway be sealed in the fall, which would also be a good time for running a bush hog along the ditch.

Treasurers Report: Checking account balance is $9,802.35, savings account balance is $6,825.98. The club has 600 gallons of fuel in tank, and will owe about $10,500 for fuel.

AirVenture Trip: Earl Brosman is taking his camper to Oshkosh and will have room for riders and campers. He will also be taking any aviation-related items to sell in the FlyMart. The cost will be $1 per tag; EAA will take a 17% commission on all items sold.
