Club President Chad Williams brought the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.

New Member — John Derado lives a couple miles north of the airport, currently has a Piper PS-28-140 that he will be moving to the field. Since the club initiated its mailing a few months ago we have recruited four new members total.

Business Entity Report — The club's annual business entity report is due at the Indiana Secretary of State's office by August 31, 2016.

Treasurer's Report — Dick Gurley is taking a two-month leave of absence; Chad Williams wil be covering for him during that time. Funds on hand: Checking account balance is $6,667.31; General Savings account balance is $5,932.82, of which $2,750.10 is for the Tank Inspection Reserve; and Fuel Savings balance is $7,354.81.

Treasurer's Notes — Hangar rent is above budget but due to the lack of crop dusters, other income is less. Three new members this year to date — both need hangar assignments. Grounds maintenance expense up to due spring fix-up (paint, etc and dumpster rental. Property rent increase effective January 1. Office expenses up due to the mailing and extra stamps purchased; electric still up ($220 last month), most likely due to pumping water to irrigate the new grass.

Election Results — Ray Rice, president; John Saalwaecther, vice president; Dick Gurley, treasurer; Michael Mossman; secretary, Earl Brosman, Chuck Leucht and Chad Williams, directors. 22 members voted; no candidates were opposed, and no ballots contained write-in candidates this year.

Annual Dog Roast Planning — The annual Dog Roast is typically held in mid-September. This year it will be on Saturday, September 17, with the following Saturday designated as the rain date. We will attempt another White Elephant door prize drawing. Details of the event will be provided at a later date.

Equipment Repair — The north wind sock pole is down; we need a hold dug for a more permanent fixture. Steve McClure volunteered to make a new stand for the wind sock; Chad Williams will borrow a post hole digger and dig the hole. Steve knows where the electric line is.

Equipment Storage — The club mowing equipment will be stored in the hangar due north of Steve McClure's. This hangar was partitioned several years ago and no longer allows a full-size aircraft to fit.

Red Bull Air Race — Mark Poliak reports that the Bed Rull Air Race will be at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October. The race format will be different than the air races in Reno but will still be very exciting.

Oshkosh Planning — Oshkosh is coming up, Earl Brosman will have his camper there; everyone is invited to stay with him. Earl will leave for Oshkosh a couple days before the show. He may take parts to sell if someone has them but will not bring them back if they don't sell.

Community Outreach — Don Geisler is serious about finding one to three young people who are interested in learning to fly and will help pay for their lessons. He wants to focus on those whose families can't afford flight otherwise. Chad Williams will form a small committee to find someone. The club suggested a Young Eagles event, and perhaps sponsoring a scholarship with a requirement that the winner come back and present what they've learned.

New Club Equipment — John Saalwaechter donated a Chevrolet Tracker to the club. It has a small snow plow. The Tracker needs a seal; Steve McClure volunteered to install one.

Building Maintenance — The property owner would like for the club to paint the hangars. He will provide the paint if the club will pick up the labor.

Trash Dumpster — The club is cancelling its trash pickup. Club members are asked to haul away their own trash. We will have a burn pile on the north end of the hangar row for burnable trash. If any members have trash that they can't haul away they are asked to bag it and leave it where the dumpster was, and other members will haul it away,

Adjournment — Steve McClure motioned to adjourn; Dennis Paradise seconded. The meeting was adjourned.
