Acceptance of Minutes Chuck Long motioned to approve the minutes from the February 2, 2023 meeting. Earl Brosman seconded. All voted in favor of acceptance.
Fuel System Report The underground fuel tank passed its required inspection. The cost is $1,750. Earl Brosman will order a new load of fuel. The driver has only one other load so he needs more to deliver at the same time to keep transport costs manageable. The fuel sell price for the old load was $7.00; projected price for the new load will be about $5.25 per gallon, delivered. The final price will not be locked in until the driver loads the truck.
Treasurer's Report Checking account balance is $12,415.55; fuel savings balance is $9,163.90. The club has enough cash in fuel savings to pay for a load of fuel, which will be about $7,500.
Maintenance Issues The following maintenance issues need attention:
Hangar Rate Increase Three enclosed hangars are going up in rental costs, effective March 1. The hangars were enclosed five years ago at tenant expense. Those tenants had a five-year rent increase freeze with the stipulation that they pay for the doors. (The club paid for the other doors.) Now that the five years have passed the rate is $120 per month for each space in the building. The club is now close to the maximum it can get for hangar rent in the area.
Property Lease The contract with the property owner expired in January 2023. Ray RIce will reach out to him to try to get another three-year term. Current property rent is $2,500 per month.
New Ratings Andy in the Monon Bell parternship is close to getting signed off for his flight test.
New Equipment Earl Brosman bought a push blower for cleaning the runway. It is not as effective as a backpack blower so he will probably resell it.
Hangar Improvements Several current and potential member/tenants expressed an interest in enclosing another hangar building. The club will do a feasability study to determine if the proposed building is appropriate and if the costs can be recovered through rents. No action was taken after the discussion.
Adjournment The meeting was informally adjourned at 7:56 p.m. EST
